Bijan Mohseni, Esq.
Employment & Civil Rights Attorney
Bijan Mohseni is the founder of Mohseni Law Group and a seasoned employment and civil rights litigator. With a proven track record of success and an unshakable commitment to justice, Bijan has recovered more than $40 million for California workers—fighting for clients in wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, PAGA representative actions, and complex employment class actions.
Known for his fearless advocacy, Bijan routinely takes on some of the largest employers and multinational corporations in the state. He has built a reputation for holding powerful entities accountable and achieving life-changing results for his clients. Early in his career, he even took on the President of the United States, challenging the Department of Defense’s discriminatory policies against transgender service members before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Beyond litigation, Bijan is a lifelong advocate for working people and civil rights. He is deeply engaged in political and community organizing, having served as an elected Delegate to the California Democratic Party, where he helped shape statewide policy on labor and economic justice. Bijan also ran for the California State Assembly and currently serves on the board of the Orange County Lavender Bar Association.
His service and advocacy have earned him numerous honors, including the Equality California Community Leadership Award and the Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award, presented by President Barack Obama.
Prior to founding Mohseni Law Group, Bijan was a managing attorney at one of California's most successful plaintiff's employment law firms. Prior that, he gained experience working at two of the nation’s largest defense firms, Latham & Watkins and Lewis Brisbois, and worked in the chambers of both the Honorable Josephine L. Staton of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the Honorable Brian M. Hoffstadt of the California Court of Appeal.
Bijan is a recognized leader in the area of employment law and a contributing author to Lexis-Nexis Practical Guidance which offers legal knowledge and resources to attorneys across the country from leading expert practitioners.
A proud first-generation American and the first in his family to graduate from college, Bijan earned his B.A. in Political Science from Chapman University, studied Politics and Philosophy at the University of Oxford, and earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
Bijan is admitted to practice law in California, New York, and the District of Columbia.
